Chicken tikka masala is a process in which Chicken is marinated in yogurt and spices and then served in a tomato cream sauce.

Ingredients

boneless chicken 500gm

1 big Tomato cubed(chop into bigger squares)

1 big onion cubed

1 big red/green bell pepper cubed

1 green pepper/jalapenos(optional) ….i used in my recipe to add more spice

fenugreek leaves pwd/kasthuri methi pwd 1 1/2tsp

whole garam masala(2inch cinnamon,4-5cloves,3 green cardomom,1 mace,2no bay leaves)

cashew nuts 1 tsp

salt to taste

1 big lemon

1 large onion finely chopped

cream(optional)

1 tomato for puree

oil

water

chopped coriander leaves 1/2bunch

1 cup yoghurt

coriander pwd 2 tsp

cumin pwd 2 tsp

ginger-garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp

red chilli pwd 2tsp

cumin seeds 1tsp

pinch of turmeric

Method

Take bone less chicken and cut into small pieces….also cube tomatoes, onions,bell peppers….In a blender add tomato,cashew nuts and blend it…..Take a bowl add turmeric,1tsp chilli powder,1tsp coriander,1tsp ginger-garlic paste,1tsp kasuri methi,curd,lemon juice,salt,oil mix it and use half of this marinate to vegetables and half to chicken mix well and keep aside for 1 hr….After one hour grill chicken and vegetables till they are half cooked(if there is no grill you can slightly fry them on a chapathi pan,but on skewers it tastes so so yummy)……Take a cooking pan add oil, whole garam masala,1tsp cumin seeds,chopped onions,salt cook slowly until the onions are evenly coated brown and add turmeric,1tsp ginger-garlic paste,tsp cumin pwd,1tsp coriander pwd,1tsp red chilli pwd,very little water1/2cup just not to burn the spices and mix well…… add tomato paste which was blended ,some water and mix well …..close it with a lid and cook for 5-10ย min….add 1/2 tsp fenugreek leaves pwd……Now add the half cooked chicken and vegetables to the gravy and let it cook for 2min,add cream optional,add chopped coriander leaves…..goes great with rotis ,bread…i eat just the curry alone ๐Ÿ™‚ …..hope u all like this and enjoy the recipe ๐Ÿ™‚
