Ingredients

Curry leaves 1 bigbowl (clean them in running water and dry them on a paper towel or napkin)

1small cup white sesame seeds(nuvvulu)

1small cup ground nuts

salt as required

1 tsp jeera

4-5 red chilli(depends on your taste)

pinch of turmeric(optional)

Method

  • In a frying pan add the curry leaves and fry till they turn brown and crispy…..once it is done keep them away from flame and let them cool
  • In the same pan fry jeera,redchilli and keep aside…….now fry groundnuts till they splutter and keep aside……..fry sesame till they turn light brown and keep aside….make sure not to burn them
  • In a wedge blend all the above fried ingredients (jeera,redchilli,sesame,groundnuts,curryleaves,salt,pinch of turmeric) together ……….and serve along with hot rice and ghee………also goes great ¬†along with idli,dosa….
  • store the powder in an air-tight container and it stays fresh for a month…
