Boondi Curry


Boondi Curry

Ingredients

1 cup boondi

2 small onions finely chopped

2-3 green chillies finely chopped

1 tsp red chilli powder

salt to taste

pinch of turmeric

3-4 tsp oil

1tsp garam masala

1/4th tsp ginger-garlic paste

curry leaves

roasted cashews

coriander leaves

Method

  • In a ccoking vessel pour oil and let it heat……now,add chopped onion and green chilli ,salt and fry till the onions changes its colour to light brown…..
  • Now,add red chilli powder,turmeric,ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute…..add curry leaves….after a minute add 1/2 glass water and cook with closed lid for 2 minutes on medium flame…..
  • Add boondi and mix gently(if there is more water in your curry ,then add more boondi)…..add garam masala……..adjust salt ….cook for not more than a minute or two(or else the boondi becomes pasty) garnish with cashew,coriander leaves  and serve along with rice…….
  • this tastes like a non-veg curry ……hope u all like this 🙂

note: boondi contains salt in it…..so add some salt in the beginning and finally adjust the salt in your curry after adding boondi…..
