Semolina-Coconut Burfi

Ingredients
1 cup Semolina/Rava
11/2 cup Sugar
1 coconut
cashews
badam
1/2 cup ghee
5 elaichi

Procedure

  • Grate the coconut and keep aside.Sieve the rava and fry in 1 spoon ghee till it turns light brown colour.
  • In the same vessel add 1 spoon ghee and fry cashews and badam and keep aside.
  • Prepare elaichi powder and keep aside.In a vessel add sugar along with very little water and stir it till it produces a thick syrup.Now,add grated coconut,ghee,cashews,badam,elaichi powder and mix all together.
  • Meanwhile apply ghee to a plate and keep aside.When the coconut mixture is becoming thicker add semolina then mix well and pour the content into the plate to which ghee is applied.
  • Once it is cooled cut it into equal sizes and serve.
