Ingredients

1 medium sized cabbage

3-4 tsp Chana dal

2-3 tsp oil

1tsp mustard seeds

1/2 tsp jeera

1tsp urad dal

1-2 red chillies

salt to taste

pinch of turmeric

curry leaves

Method

Clean and finely chop the cabbage…..also clean the chana dal and keep aside……

Pressure cook both cabbage and chanadal together adding some salt and water for 3 proper whistles……once it is done remove the cabbage-chanadal mixture from cooker and drain the excess water

In a cooking pan add oil and let it heat….then add mustard seeds….when they start to splutter add jeera,red chilli and fry for a minute…now,add boiled cabbage-chanadal to the vessel ¬†and cook for 3-4mts……

Add sufficient salt,curry leaves and mix well…..cook for a minute or two and switch off the stove………

serve along with rice,ghee…….
